When can babies drink water

When can babies start drinking water and how much is safe he’s on formula if that matters

Our pediatrician said we can start offering 1-2 oz per day when we started solids at 6 months if it seemed like she needed it

Gave both my kids water since 3-4 months old. Dr said I did not have to limit. They’re now 4 and 1 and absolutely love having water lol

Honestly just go with your gut. My mom aleays gave her kids water but I for some reason and paranoid to until I feel it's right

At 6 months my dr said to offer it at meal times. I don’t limit it. I just give him a cup. He barely got any at the beginning but now loves it and drinks some. The one cup lasts all day for sure. So he’s not drinking a ton. It’s mostly for practice with the cup so he’s ready to lose the bottle eventually.
