IUI process and time frame?

Hi ladies. So husband was in an accident last year and his urologist recommended semen analysis, we found out he has an extremely low sperm count. I also have endometriosis so the time frame for getting pregnant is shorter than normal. His dr is now recommending IUI. How long was the whole process for you ladies and what was the process??

My cycles were a month each time. But to be honest, if at all possible, I’d go straight for IVF if I were you. I don’t have fertility problems (DOR but no issue with quality) and used donor sperm, so it was excellent quality. I had 2 failed cycles of IUI followed by a chemical. With IVF I got pregnant first time (fresh day 3 transfer) and have 3 frozen embryos for future transfers.
I know a number of women who have had similar results to me. Got nowhere with IUI but had IVF success. It is, obviously, extremely expensive, so I completely understand if it’s not possible for you guys. But I just thought I’d let you know my experience.
