Adoption

My man and I want start looking into adoption. We both want a boy, but not a toddler. Probably like 7 or 8 years old. How tough are boys around that age? Neither of us want a biological child because we wouldn't want our child to have either of our health conditions (yes they are genetic). We probably won't be ready for a kid for a few more years, but like I said, we just want to look into it
