When did you spill the beans?

I spend a lot of time at my dads and I want to tell just my step mom since I hang out with her more than my dad while he’s at work. If I were to get sick over there, she would know and the surprise would be ruined! My hubby doesn’t think I should tell her since I’m only 4 weeks and would be close to 5 when I would tell her. How long did you/will you wait to tell close family that you spend a lot of time with?

My husband of course found out with me. But I told my best friend, and one other friend that I work closely with. Everyone else I’m waiting until after our 8 week appointment. Hopefully anywhere... I’m worried we may get called out at Christmas lol

I told my sister, my mom, and my boyfriends mom. My dad I’m not telling until closer to 12 weeks because he will tell my other sister. I don’t want rest of siblings to find out quite yet. But we will announce to them before we announce on social media.

We’ve already told our parents but won’t be telling everyone else til probably 8 weeks.

My mom and close coworkers I told when I found out at 4 weeks just because I’m that close with them. Everyone else like my dad and other family and friends we’re waiting a couple more months

My husband and I chose to tell our close family members at 5 weeks. I also told one close friend/coworker. I am waiting till our 8 week scan to tell very close friends. We will not post publicly until 12 or more weeks (I’m not very into posting extremely person info on my socials). I think whatever makes you comfortable is what you should do.

My husband, a few friends, and a cousin I’m close with knew as soon as I got a positive test. Everyone else is going to wait. Not sure for how long, but I’m not exactly ecstatic to tell my family.

I told my mom and best friend right away. My dad however I am waiting till about 12 weeks to tell. I want to make sure everything is good to go before I tell him.
