I went to the ER this morning for cramping on my right side and lower back pain. They used a Doppler to hear baby’s heartbeat and it was 138. They did a pelvic exam and said that it seemed fine but my cervix was kind of soft. They said it wasn’t opening. They also said it could be soft because I have had a d&c before. But from what I’ve read online, the cervix gets softer before it starts to open for labor. Has anyone been told they have a soft cervix and been fine before? I’m 15 weeks and 2 days and really freaked out about having an incompetent cervix which usually leads to miscarriage.
