Hi all! I’m 7w1d and have type 2 diabetes. Everything checked out just fine at my last OB appointment at 6w3d and my last A1c was 5.4 so well within the range it needs to be.

I’m just wondering at what point will they put me on insulin? I’m currently on metformin and it’s being controlled for the most part besides my fasting sugars are a tad higher than they should be.

I’m also curious to know if your diabetes was controlled by oral meds before getting pregnant, did you continue with the insulin after birth or go back to oral meds?

Also curious to know how far along you were when you delivered and was it vaginally or a c section? We’re you able to be seen by a midwife or did you have to be seen by an obgyn?

Any good diabetic snacks? I am a sucker for chips and popcorn so I need some good healthy alternatives that won’t raise my blood sugar too much! Thanks all!
