Bleeding for 2.5 weeks

I work on a labor and delivery unit. On the 10th day of bleeding I pulled one of the docs aside and told her what was going on. She said from the sounds of it it’s a early miscarriage. However, I am now on day 17 of bleeding. It has been super light the past two days but ever now and then I get a little gush. Is this normal? And if so- when will I ovulate? I heard you ovulate 14 days after you start heavy bleeding but that would be today, and I’m still bleeding 🥺
