Was I misdiagnosed ??

Nurse called me back. She said she has no idea why the doc put missed miscarriage and now ectopic in my notes because nowhere on their charts is notes even listed. She was my nurse during it all, and said she remembers my pregnancy in January (since I was there so freakin much) and even admitted that the doc had told her it was always a miscarriage and not an ectopic but yet he gave me paperwork about ectopic pregnancies and how to care for yourself afterwards.

She said they don’t normally give metho for any kind of miscarriages.. still wish I knew why I took mtx or what was really happening with my body. I know it wasn’t viable but mtx gave me complications and feel was it even necessary?

In January, I was “diagnosed” with ectopic. I was in and out of the doctors for a month and two weeks going 3x per week to get blood drawn. My hcg levels were up and down each time which is why they “thought” it was ectopic and not a “missed miscarriage”. Moving forward, I had to take methotrexate. That shot didn’t work, so I had to take another. If that shot didn’t work, I was scheduled to have my right tube removed. I got sick off the shot, also, with the side effects.

Not only were my fiancé and I distraught because that pregnancy was planned but we were told because of MTX, that we had to wait 6mo to try again. (Thankfully we did conceive easily and now 31w pregnant )

But today, I decided to look at my chart just to see the name of the last shot I took was last week due to my pregnancy now) (it was tdap)

anyways... I scrolled down and seen this.

It said threatened and then missed miscarriage. Nowhere on my chat does it say anything about ectopic. So, was it really an ectopic ? Why was it not noted and why does it say a missed miscarriage? Why was I taking mtx? I’m so upset right now. Yes I called my ob. Waiting for a nurse to get back to me.

Here’s the portion I’m speaking about. They labeled what was suppose to be “ectopic” with missed miscarriage. So why did I have to take mtx. Y’all I’m furious.

Edit: they took ONE ultrasound. Since I was bleeding and gradually getting heavier, they did the ultrasound a week after I had my positive at home test. No sac in uterus or tubes because “maybe it’s too early to see anything” so they did immense blood work for 6w. Numbers went up and down and never above 56hcg. They didn’t think it was a “chemical” miscarriage because they said the numbers wouldn’t go up and down like that and I guess assumed there was no tissue in me?
