Do yall drive with 2 feet or 1 ?

Im in the u.s and idk what way it should be im a teenager starting to learn how to drive and when i drive a truck i need to use 2 feet but in a car i use 1 i just have to i dont kniw why. Am i only supposed to use 1?

You should only be using ONE foot to drive a regular manually vehicle. If your driving a “stick” then you would use TWO (because you have a clutch, 3 pedals)

I was taught it is super dangerous to drive with two feet. Most of the time you can tell when some one is bc they rest their foot on the brake driving 70 down the highway. Their brake lights are on but they’re not actively braking, it’s really fucking dangerous. Sorry, if this comes across as rude. I’m currently driving from TX to VA and have seen a lot of shitty drivers today. 😖

I drive with two but I also drive a stick shift. If I was driving an automatic I’d drive with one.

It's my understanding it's 2 feet for a standard, 1 for an automatic. (I never had the privilege to learn to drive a standard.) When I first started driving, I was using 2 feet (for an automatic) and my mom corrected me. It wasn't until then I noticed my hip would get sore driving with 2 feet.

Standard/manual transmission vehicles - 2 feet. One for the clutch and the other for gas/brake.

The difference is a Manual vehicle and a Automatic vehicle.
Manual - 2 feet to work the clutch to change gears and accelerate to drive
Automatic - 1 feet to just go and switch to brakes when needed
