Reflecting on my high school career
So I am a senior, and recently I have been doing a lot of reflecting on everything that has happened while I was in high school. I went into high school terrified. I had been bullied in middle school, and was so afraid that it was going to be worse in high school. Although the bullying wasn’t as bad, the drama was way worse. Right off the bat I got myself into a toxic relationship. The guy was a junior, and didn’t even care about me. He was really just using me to get to other girls. We didn’t date for long, since he quickly realized he wasn’t getting anything from me. I was hanging out with not so great people, who were always dragging me into their drama. And of course, after the first term my best friends dad pulled her out of public school and put her in online school. A couple of months after I broke up with the first guy, I started talking to another guy. We started “dating” and at first it was to get my mind off the other guy, but I eventually actually fell in love with him. We are still dating now, almost 3 months later. That spring, my grandpa passed away. I had a really hard time with it, and honestly didn’t know how to cope. However, this was during lacrosse season. Through that hard time, I found a great team, who supported me through anything. My coach is absolutely amazing, and is still a person that I go to for lots of things. I know he is always there if I need him. My point in telling you these things is to show you that, although bad things happen, you can always find the good in them. My freshman year was rough, but it has shaped who I am, and brought amazing people into my life, who have helped me to succeed in everything I do. High school is rough, but if you push through, you will be able to do more than you ever expected.
