Before anyone suggests, if it gets worse, I’ll go to the er.

Earlier this month I found out I was having a miscarriage. I had the obvious bleeding, then for about two weeks I was spotting. Spotting was light and brown colored, no pain, up until yesterday. As of today, my spotting is still light but it’s red and I’m cramping like a period, not extreme but still there. I was told by the doctor if the spotting gets heavy or I feel pain to go to the er. Problem is I’m overseas in a country that speaks little English so I’m trying to avoid it if possible and go in to the doctors next week to be checked out.

Again, if it gets worse I’ll go in. But my question: is it normal to spot brown for that long and then spot red with period like cramps? Should a miscarriage last this long? Actual miscarriage last as December 8th.
