How long do you leave your toddler in a safe place to play independently & unsupervised?

I currently only ever leave my daughter to go to the bathroom & I always come back within 2 minutes. She’s usually exactly where I left her or playing with a different toy nearby. My fiancé never leaves the room when he’s with her & tells me the idea just scares him. I have no one else to compare to so I’m just curious, what do you do? No judgment whatsoever, we all have different comfort levels & toddlers with different temperaments. ❤️

We let our girls play in their room with the door open. Except today they stole the baby powder and dumped it everywhere..they’re usually pretty good😂

I leave my girl for a couple minutes, if I’m just in the next room, then I’ll check on her.

Generally she wants to play near me but I have left her to play independently for up to half hour in the play room whilst I’m making dinner or feeding/dealing with her younger brother.

I try to get mine to do some independent play so I can go throw laundry in or do some dishes but it usually doesn’t last for long. I spend time with both my kids playing either together or separately during the few hours on weekdays (after 5 there’s not much time with dinner, bath, bed). Weekends I spend time playing with them but both kids have free roam of the house and toys (my may baby and older sister who’s almost 5). They play a lot together, or he’s always trying to do whatever she’s doing. Our house isn’t big so someone’s always close by but we let them do their thing. My may baby is super clingy to me whenever I’m home so lately he’s whining for me to pick him up, hold him, or pulling me to go get him things. Some weekends I can’t get anything done because he won’t let me leave his side. Other times he’s exploring and learning on his own which I’m okay with and if he needs me he comes to get me.

He naturally follows me around. So even if I leave the room I hear his footsteps shortly after and another few seconds later the door will fly open

I’ve never timed how long she plays independently. She and her older brother play in his room a lot or play “neighbors” (their own pretend game) in my bed. 
I don’t believe there is any reason why they can’t be left alone for however long parents deem safe based on personality.  My oldest would play alone all the time when he was this age. I was also a single parent so I had to take trash out, do dishes, fold laundry, etc.

I have a Kasa camera set up in our living room. It’s hard for me to leave the room without my son following me, but on the rare occasions that he’s wrapped up in play, I just watch him on the camera if I feel he’ll be mischievous and talk through it needed.

I’m a stay at home mom and I leave his bedroom door open during the day and let him wander back and forth. I’m almost 34weeks pregnant with baby #2 so he’s been a little more clingy but he’ll still go off and play in his room for at most 1 1/2 hours

Stay at home mom here my son is allowed to roam the house a few times a day. He will normally just go where his favorite toy of the day is or sit and read books in a rocking chair. This helps build independence. Our home is pretty open and spread out between 3 levels so I can pretty much catch a peek at him wherever he is. If I cannot see him such as I am moving laundry over or in the bathroom I put him in a safe area that had children's gates. We have to be careful as we have tons of stairs and all hardwood floors.
