Husband always says "I'll be back soon, I'm leaving out the door in 5 minutes, I'm going pee and then I'm coming home, I'm about to leave, I won't be gone long, this is only going to take me a few hours" and it is NEVER true.

I do not understand why he goes out of his way to call me and tell me he's leaving for home in minutes to only call him for an update 40 minutes or so later to find out he STILL hasn't left. It's literally an everytime thing. I know where he is going/what he is doing so I know he isn't cheating. It just really irritates me because I will plan for him to be home (like starting dinner or finishing my projects) and then he doesn't even arrive when he says.

Anyone else experience this with their husbands? What can you do to help someone understand communication only works if accurate info is shared. Otherwise do not even bother!
