My son is 20 months old, (18 corrected) and normally his nappy from over night weighs a ton with wee. This morning he’s woken completely bone dry and I’m slightly concerned.

We aren’t doing any form of potty training other than it’s out and he goes and sits on it sometimes but that’s it.

His dad had kidney reflux as a child and this is how it started for him, he would drink but wouldn’t wee.

He’s happy enough to take a drink and is a very good drinker and constantly has one on the go through the day. I’d say I’ve managed to get about 6oz of water in to him this morning and just giving him some time to see if he goes.

Would you ring doctor anyway for some advice or just play it by ear?

*edit* he has now done a wee after around 14 hours, very very dark and very smelly.
