Is it rude to ask a website to remove a photo of me?

There’s this website from highschool (I’m in my mid 20s now) that still has this photo of me posted that gave me a scholarship back in the day. It has my full name, photo and location and university name and it’s the first thing that pops up when I google my name and has always bothered me and I was hoping they’d just remove it eventually but it’s still active on their site and they keep adding more and more people and never asked me if it was okay with me. Would it be bitchy to send a kind email asking them to please remove it due to privacy reasons? I’ve always been wary of my information online because of past experiences...
Any tips?
Side note: Anyone struggle with this huge fear of coming off as “bitchy” when you are just requesting something you want or being direct with someone? I feel like it’s internalized misogyny

It's totally fine! I administer scholarships and it's totally fine, especially if it has been a year or longer since you were awarded. I've think the best approach that will cause the least amount of back and forth is to say that due to the nature of your work you are trying to reduce your web presence and hope that they can help by removing your photo.

You can ask them to remove it from the website but that won’t remove it from the internet. Anytime something is posted, it’s there forever. I have photos from high school that I didn’t even post under my real name (because I was immature and unaware) that come up when I google myself.

No it’s not bitchy to ask. The worst they can say is no and I can’t imagine why they would say no. And no I don’t fear being perceived as bitchy. People can think whatever they want about me, but I’m going to ask for what I want and be direct anyways 🤷🏻‍♀️.
