Opinions?

Ladies and gentlemen I just want to ask... do you feel it is important that your partner gives you the title of gf or bf? You see, my intimate partner and I call each other “babe” but we never officially claimed each other as bf/gf. I mean we did in the past but we broke up. Now I’m slightly confused where we stand. I hope I’m not making a big deal out of it. Does bf/gf title set boundaries or is it just a title and trust is what matters most? Please share some insights. I know there’s no wrong or right way but I just want some outside opinions.
