Am I fussy?

MIL said to me that she would have brought a bigger gift such as a car seat but she knows how fussy I am with what type of car seat I want...? I was like where did that come from? I just wanted to buy a car seat that has Isofix and has side impact protection and so I am more than happy to buy the big items myself and don’t expect anyone to give me any gifts.

This from the women who planned pre-COVID for a week long holiday in Fiji with my husband’s brother’s family and sister’s family but “forgot” to extend an invite to my hubby, who was really hurt by her behaviour. I just feel so bewildered by her comments and actions and have no idea what I do to upset her for her to behave like this?
