Intermittent fasting?

Christina

I’m starting to get a little frustrated with not losing more baby weight than I already have, so I’m considering intermittent fasting. I am still breastfeeding, so I don’t want to lose my supply because my LO absolutely refuses formula. Anyone currently doing intermittent fasting while breastfeeding? What schedule are you following? Did you notice any drops in supply?

I second this! I’ve been in weight watchers for a little over 3 months now and am down 25 pounds. I don feel deprived at all and I indulged during thanksgiving and Christmas

What else did you do besides intermittent fasting? Do you watch what you eat? Exercise? What else is entailed? Because that's a lot of weight! I gained only 30 with this pregnancy and I'm only lost half.

I’m definitely going to do it! 😃 The more I look into it, the more success stories I see from breastfeeding moms. Great job on losing the baby weight! That’s fantastic!

I've not tried it for a few years BUT you can consume up to 50 calories for liquids without breaking your fast. So you can still add creamer to coffee 😁

That’s great to know! Coffee is a MUST first thing in the morning 😂

I was too. I joined weight watchers the day after thanksgiving and I’ve lost 11 pounds. Intermittent fasting is hard to maintain because you get so hungry. I really like WW because I can still eat. It just helps me track portions and healthier choices.

I really want to do as well. A YouTuber I follow jade shaw said from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. is still considered intermittent fasting. And honestly since breast milk is mostly of water. I don't see how not eating food for a few hours will effect it as long as you are getting enough calories within your eating window.
