Hey ladies,

First off, I just want to say that you all are strong and beautiful and so selfless to make these tough decisions. I didn’t see many post about other women’s experience taking the abortion pill.. so for those that want insight here is mine.

This decision was not wanted. It sucks and I hope and pray that the next time I conceive, it’s not a decision I have to think of.

About a week and a half ago I went to the hospital to figure out why I was in so much pain. My left side felt like something was just pulling at my pelvis area. Well at 5am I finally talked to the dr who informed me that I had a 2.5cm cyst on my ovary and that I was pregnant. I ultimately was told that I had to choose between my last ovary or a pregnancy that can probably rupture it. Well I had to choose my one and only ovary.. the pain was just too unbearable.

Next day, I called a clinic and they set me up for Friday. I went did the paperwork ultrasound etc and about 2hrs later I met with the dr around 2:30.. And the first dose was taken in the office with some Tylenol I believe. (I was too in my feelings to listen to what the other pill was-nerves were all kinds of bad.

After the first dose I felt fine at first. But the tiredness kicked in after about an hr and I had to sleep. Cramps were sort of like a period but I haven’t cramped like that since my teenage years first starting my period.. a heating pad helped with this and rotating between back and front eased some cramping. I did find that laying on my belly with the heating pad under was the most comfort of all.

I was told to take the next dose 24hrs later. And that’s exactly what I did. At 1:00 I ate then took some ibuprofen to help with the pain that was soon to come. I used the bathroom and saw blood when I wiped. So I figured that’s normal.At 2:30 I grabbed the pills and laid them on the sides of my cheeks for an hr until they dissolved. No food no drink. Within 30 minutes the cramps intensified and I had to take another ibuprofen.

Every hour I got up to use the bathroom. My legs felt heavy when walking and laying down, cramps were hard to breathe thru so I tried to sleep it off but I couldn’t sleep. I passed plenty of blood clots and had diarrhea about 3-4 times. I also checked the toilet each time I went.😷😩 Around 7:30 this evening I went to the bathroom again by this time the diarrhea had calmed down and I saw a white mucus substance in the toilet. I grabbed a plastic cup and spoon and scooped it out to see if this was my pregnancy. I went online to check but couldn’t find much so I texted a friend who worked In the medical field. All in all she said it was the sac and embryo so I googled what that should look like. I also called my sis to ask her what she thought and she said the same. After it passed the cramps got a little bit worse and I popped another ibuprofen and have been resting since. No appetite just water and bread or crackers. And my legs still feel very heavy. It’s been a good 9 hrs since the the process started today but I’ll tell you that the 4th 5th and 6th hour were full of moaning and groaning. The worst of it is past and I just hope that this really is the sac.

I cried because the pain but also because this wasn’t a decision I was happy about but my health and womanhood are at risk.
