Adoption Mamas!

I’ve been finding it heavily weighing on my heart lately to start inquiring, reading up on, and looking into adoption.

My husband and I have 2 kids of our own, a 2 year old and 1 month old. My pregnancies have been horrible, and we decided that I would not get pregnant again. My husband is going to get a vasectomy in the coming weeks - but we both wanted a big family for our children. About halfway through my pregnancy, we had already decided on me not getting pregnant again, and that’s when I started feeling my heartstring being pulled in a different direction.

Obviously with me only being a little over a month PP, it won’t be any time soon; but I think this is the perfect time to inquire and maybe pick some brains.

I would LOVE to hear your adoption stories, how you got started, the pros/cons of the process of it all, how you came about deciding to adopt in the first place, and about how long said process actually took!
