Transfer timing with PGTA testing?

Hi ladies! Starting day 1 of my cycle for my first ivf process tomorrow. We are likely doing the pgta testing, but I was wondering what cycle timelines are like with testing? Do you transfer the cycle after retrieval and typically what days? Does it need to freeze for the month? I’m so curious how it changes the process, we were originally not planning pgta so didn’t get to ask at our last consult. Sorry these are so naive!

Thanks All! Confirmed with my doctor today that it’s 6-8 weeks post retrieval. Going to go for it & try and be patient these next 2.5 months!

It does not change the timing unless you wanted a fresh transfer but timing with or with out testing for an FET is the same

It depends on your clinic and protocol. My clinic has you sit out a full cycle after egg retrieval and then has a long transfer protocol so for me it will be about 3 months.

Yes, they need to freeze. Depending on the facility doing the testing, average tiem is about 2 weeks. So by the time you get your next period, you know your results and can start your transfer cycle.  My nurse had said that its about 2 weeks to transfer after that with a medicated cycle, but different protocols will have different timings.
