Why do ovulation test still have line after you ovulate?

Question

I get we shouldn’t test after we get a positive but do you know what chemical or what reason there is still quite a significant line? I’m 9-10 days post ovulation

There’s always LH in your system, so there will always be a line. Sometimes it is dark after ovulation due to a secondary estrogen surge

LH is always present and an LH surge does not confirm you've ovulated

You often will get another surge before your period arrives. You don't need to keep using them after your positive.
