He doesn't want to be in her life anymore...

My ex boyfriend of 7 years and I broke up almost a year ago. We have a 2 year old daughter. We have tried coparenting but it does not work. All he does is call when he feels like it. Does not show up or help financially. I technically have been doing everything by myself. Lately he was been threatening me if I don't get back with him he won't be in his daughter's life anymore. Constantly saying it. Over and over. Almost everyday. I told him it's time I move on and he should as well. Today he officially decided he is not going to be in her life anymore and said "let her future step father take care of her cause I'm not"

I grew up with a loving father so I can't fathom how someone can easily discard and not love their own child.

Just needed to vent....
