Are these types of jokes offensive?
I saw this circulating on Facebook (yet again) and was pretty disappointed. In my opinion, it’s extremely tone deaf to women dealing with infertility, pregnancy loss, etc. (and also COVID in this particular case), but no one seems as aggravated by it as I am. So I thought I’d bring the controversy here. Do you think this type of “gotcha” joke about pregnancy is ok?
