When is the best time to have another baby? My baby will be 5 months on the 30th and I’m having really bad baby fever!!

The ACOG and many other orgs plus millions of drs HIGHLY recommend waiting until 18m pp until trying for another pregnancy. There are too many risks otherwise, especially at under 1yr pp

My midwives have always said 9 months to grow, 9 months to heal. As a minimum. Now, obviously, things can happen, but I’ve tried to use that as a guide for myself, to give my body at least 9 months before we stop preventing. After my first, I was pregnant at 10 mo pp. Now after my second, she was about 14-15 months when I got pregnant. That’s also for vagina deliveries only. Your body goes through more damage and needs more healing after a caesarean. The guideline is def 18 months. My first two are 19 months apart. It was hard. My husband works long hours and we lived out in the country, about 30 mins from anything and an hour from most places we needed to go. That made it much harder. But I love it now (3 and 1 1/2)! They’re sooooo close. Yes, they fuss and argue and that gets old sometimes, but there’s so much love and hugs and kisses and super cute moments. 2 and 3 will be 2 years apart, almost exactly and we live in town now. I’m hoping those factors will make it a little easier this time around.

Currently pregnant with my second. Im due when my first will be 2 years and 3 months. Im very happy with that age gap. I wanted a 2 year age gap. Most doctors recommend waiting 12-18 months after birth before getting pregnant again so your body can heal and build up nutrients again.

I felt the same way, I got pregnant when my 1st was 12months, but I miscarried. He is now 20 months and my 2nd is due 3 weeks after he turns 2, im excited about the age gap.

My kids are 2 years and 2 weeks apart and I love that age gap. It was tough in the beginning but totally worth it. I got pregnant when my first was around around 15/16 months.
