I am a cancer survivor. I’ve had colon cancer and thyroid cancer. My thyroid was removed when I was 16 and I did radiation therapy. (No therapy was needed for my colon cancer. I had a removal surgery.) Now my big question is why can I not conceive? I’ve been trying for almost a year and a half. I know hypothyroidism untreated can cause birth defects and even autism. I’ve taken levothyroxine for years now. I too scared to talk to my endocrinologist because he’s always seemed to judge parts of my life, ya know? You can’t please everyone. But I really want a baby! Could someone that has had a baby with hypothyroidism tell me about it? Did you have to raise your medication during pregnancy? We’re there complications? I want to have a happy, healthy baby. I don’t want to cause harm. My husband is very understanding, but I just want to give him a family. 😩💔
