NIPT issues

My OB called me today and I was so excited. Until they told me they didn’t get enough of babies blood to determine a gender. I was 12 weeks at the draw.

I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow and they told me I can come back and try again.

Can I still do the NIPT at 14 weeks? And did this happen to anyone else?

I am heartbroken. 😢

**Edited to add: I’m reading reasons why this could have happened and now I’m worried. I’m not overweight so that shouldn’t have had an impact on the result. I’m reading it could mean there are fetal abnormalities and now I’m sick over it. What are your experiences?**
