Why do people love to talk and assume about a person’s home life/family/love life?

My younger sister was suppose to do me a favor and get info (telephone and about health insurance) about a therapist for my daughter (she suffer from social anxiety; and this remote learning has not helped the progress she had done before.)

Well my sister came over last night and instead of giving me the therapist’s contact info, she’s reading back to me notes from a consult she had with the therapist. Not only did my sister did the consult but she even talked about it with my mom.

This morning my mom is talking to me about it and I straight up told her that I cannot go forward with this therapist because the consult should have been done with me not my sister. I feel that the therapist’s perception of me is tainted.

I’m bothered.

She offered to find someone and had heard of this therapist, I was just looking for her get me contact info and to ask if she accepted our health insurance. Nothing more.
