NIPT Gender Wrong?

Has anyone ever heard of the gender results through NIPT being wrong? I was told boy today (fetal fraction 8%, got tested at 10+2) but really felt like I was having a girl & my pregnancy has been so different! I have a boy now that is 15 months. Is it possible his Y is still somehow in my body? Or a vanishing twin that was a boy? Am I reaching here? Lol

It was wrong for our first. Blood taken at 13 weeks. My doctor's office had a lot come back wrong. There is always a possibility of error. Nothing is 100%.

I had mine at 13W 1D they’ve said boy. I’m 21W4D and will be finding out Monday at our anatomy scan if it’s a boy forsure but because it’s a blood test I’m 99% sure it’s a boy. (This will be my first son I have two daughters)

Definitely reaching. Nipt is 99.6-99.8% accurate for gender. I would honestly be really surprised if it wasnt accurate. I had completely different symptoms than my first and swore my 2nd was a boy. Nope. Another girl

because mine says 7% and it also says that gestation is: 9w…. I was clearly 16 weeks when I had my blood drawn for it. 😳 I am 18 weeks today and finally read my results and says girl. Could they be wrong also??

The MA called me and said I’m having a female then called me back later in the day and said “Whoops” I read the gender wrong, you’re having a boy! After I told my family! 🤦🏼‍♀️

It's the most accurate. Congratulations on the baby boy! 💙 I had mine done at 10+1 weeks (last year), only 4.8% fetal fraction & it was right. 😁

I was told you couldn’t get NIPT before 11 weeks. Idk if you do it a few days earlier than that if maybe it can’t be detected?

Nipt is more accurate than ultrasounds most of the time. Pregnancies can be extremely different regardless of gender so I’d say if it says boy, your probably having a boy
