When is everyone starting to buy items?

I'm almost 13 weeks (I know the gender) I wanted to start now with clothes/diapers and maybe saving the bigger item purchises such as car seat/bassinet untill 20+ weeks? 🤔  I don't have anything.. Just curious as to what other moms are doing

Yes as soon as I found out gender I started buying outfits!! Not a ton bc we have soo many girl clothes from our first daughter but it’s fun for me💗

I’ve only bought wipes. My favorite brand to use for diapers was Kirkland and they only carry them on Amazon or Costco but I’ve couponed a good amount of wipes. I won’t start buying stuff until the beginning of my 3rd trimester.

I don’t think anything is necessary to buy at this point but there is also nothing wrong with it. Diapers were one of the last thing I bought in my last pregnancy. I wouldn’t buy too many. You don’t know what size your baby will be in and for how long. The hospital sent us home with no joke $100 of diapers and wipes and probably another $100 of similac. The diapers got us through for a very long time. They get them for free so we just asked our nurse for some and she filled up an entire garbage bag for us. You may also get gifted diapers at your shower if you’re having one. I didn’t buy anything substantial until after 20 weeks last time and had everything set up and ready to go by about 33/34 weeks.

I’d get some diapers and some wipes when they’re on sale. Don’t get a lot of one size or one brand because you’ll have to figure out which brand is best for your baby! Just grab stuff as you like it or as you see it on sale.
