So I just had my week12 ultrasound (nt) and the technician said nothing at all throughout the appointment. She just did her scans and told me she’s going to do a transvaginal ultrasound next. She didn’t even tell me if there was a heartbeat and she didn’t call my husband from the waiting room to check out the scans. When she finished the transvaginal ultrasound all she said to me was that I need to talk to my midwife tomorrow, I said they’re closed on Saturdays. Technician said ok on Monday then. And then I asked her if I could have my requisition back because I have to do bloodwork. And she said I won’t need to do bloodwork anymore.

At that point I was already crying inside, my heart was beating so fast..Did I have a silent miscarriage? I didn’t have most pregnancy symptoms to begin with and I’ve always wanted to feel all those symptoms just to make sure I was still pregnant. If I had a silent miscarriage, would I be spotting? Or bleeding hard? I haven’t had any spotting since LITERALLY this morning and it was just when I wiped there was a skid of brown discharge but it didn’t continue after that. However, after the transvaginal ultrasound of course there was more discharge because that thing that the lady put in me. My question is, if I had a miscarriage wouldn’t they have sent me to an emergency room to get it cleaned out? (I honestly don’t know the process) My husband doesn’t want me to worry until we hear from our midwife but I’ve just been crying.

***My week8 ultrasound we went to another clinic and the technician told us everything she saw even though there was literally a little bean. She even showed us the heartbeat. So it was a different experience.*** Living in Toronto!!
