IUD fell out?

I just got my IUD literally a week ago- I thought I was about to get my period so I put in my menstrual cup. When I removed the cup it seems I removed the IUD with it.
Is this normal? Is it worth getting it again or should I try a different form of birth control?

Yes this happens all the time with IUDs and cups. I recently had mine move down when using a cup for the first time. It's been nearly a month and I still haven't gotten a doctor to see me... But that's a story for another time. The answer to your question is yes it's normal

If you really want to use a cup, I'd suggest using a different method. Using a cup can be risky with an iud, they are known to remove iuds unintentionally if they aren't removed exactly right.
