Were you allowed to labour naturally (with or without pain meds), or did doctors intervene in some way (full induction, pitocin to speed things along, breaking your water, etc.)?

Nicole

Reading through posts it seems like the majority of women have their labours induced, or interfered with in some way. Some women have even been told to "not push" until the doctor is back, even when they have strong urges to push. I'm curious to know how common it really is.

(I'm not referring to pain meds, just things that affect the labour process.)

If the doctors intervened, do you feel like it was actually justified/medically necessary?
