Would you complain if your neighbours smoked weed?

Nah I’d probably ask if they wanted to smoke together some time

If I can smell it in my home then yes. I hate the smell of weed and smoke bothers me as well. In university I had a neighbour that used to smoke daily and constantly. My apartment reeked of weed. I couldn’t open my windows when it was warmed because he’d smoke outside and then smoke would get in. My cat is asthmatic and she ended up at the vet in an oxygen cage twice. Also the costs of her inhalers increased as I kept having to buy more (usually one lasts me three months- I was going through one a month). I also needed to get a pet sitter to see her during the day to give her the inhaler (she’s normally only given a puff once a day, but I was now up to 3x a day plus her emergency inhaler) and make sure she was ok. The building was non-smoking and I paid more for that because I didn’t want these issues.

So yes I did report the guy. Repeatedly. He ended up being evicted (not all because of me- but the fact that this 45+ year old man threatened a 22 year old girl and I got him on tape screaming profanity and threats at me through the wall we shared definitely didn’t help his case once a restraining order was filed). I actually moved out before he did and my cats health issues went away. She’s still asthmatic, but is just fine on one puff a day and has been for years.

So yes, I would complain IF the weed was affecting my life. I have every right to be comfortable in my own home. Someone’s smoking weed should not affect others.

Yes i would complain . I personally don’t smoke weed and wouldn’t care but it’s different when your have children 👶🏻 in your home .

My neighbours do smoke weed. It doesn’t bother me. Thats their choice and they aren’t bad neighbours

Depends on the rest of the situation. Do you live in apartments and it stinks your whole house up? Or are you in houses and you can sometimes smell it outside? I had neighbors who smoked outside and I could smell smoking from my yard. I minded my business. If this were an apartment situation and it stunk up my whole apartment, then yes I’d complain.

Why is what they do any of your concern?!
