Pregnant women are super human
I just wanted to tell you all a story about something that happened at work the other day. This is partially a rant about my job but also, my co worker made me feel so much better lol
I work at Texas Roadhouse, in the kitchen. I can work almost any position on the line (I don’t cook steaks (broil), but I either am on salad, fry (obviously making all the fried food) & point (split into 3 positions; pull (plating steaks), push (plating sides & selling checks) & the rib grill (cooks ribs, chicken, shrimp, & salmon)), and I work often. I’m 35w5d. I just got my schedule for the rest of the week (our weeks are Wednesday-Tuesday) so after working tuesday-tomorrow (8 days) I am scheduled Wednesday-Sunday (5 days). Y’all. That’s 12 days straight before I get a day off. But I can’t be too mad, because I’m the one who still wants to be put on the schedule. But I was complaining at work about not having a day off for so long still and a server spoke up and said “you, Starr and Kiersten all are like super human. I don’t know how you guys hustle the way you do for so long” (starr and kiersten were also pregnant and worked as servers until their babies were born. One came back after two weeks of mat leave 😳 one just had her baby yesterday) but then everyone else jumped in and said similar stuff like “it’s insane what a woman’s body can withstand” and how amazing pregnant women are for carrying a baby, let alone those who do so and work. It was nice to hear such nice things from young 20 somethings who don’t have kids 😂🥰 (I’m also only 22 for reference)
Sorry not sorry for such a pointless post. It just made me feel good so maybe it’ll make someone else feel good too 🤷🏻♀️🥰
