Trying to get my son to eat foods rather than just a ton of formula. I try giving him baby foods and solid foods but all he wants is the bottle🤦🏻‍♀️

When do you typically try to feed him? If you try to do feeds too soon after the bottle, chances are he is full from the milk and not wanting actual food. At least that’s how my daughter gets lol. Try to do food about an hour or so after a bottle. This should give him time to be hungry enough to want to eat but not hungry enough for the bottle yet! Just remember at this age even just getting him to try a little bit at a time is good since most of their nutrition should still be coming from milk.

Claire’s favorite was mashed sweet potato. But we’ve done zucchini, sweet potato, mashed potatoes with diced chicken, eggs with spinach, broccoli, blueberry pancakes, avocado, black beans and ground turkey logs, yogurt (messy!), meatballs, mango pit (this was a favorite!), and a few other fruits in those mesh thingies. We also do teething biscuits. 
We started with purées at 4.5 months and by 6 months she was ready for some finger foods. Took her until about 7 months to be better at chewing. 
Agree to do it an hour after a bottle. If they’re too hungry they get frustrated. Too full and they couldn’t care less.
