My boyfriend (ex now lol) started an argument with me because I told him that I did not want to watch a movie with him that is in another language since I don’t understand it, and I told him it wouldn’t be as appealing to me since I wouldn’t be able to understand it. All I said was I think movies and shows in other languages are cool but in my opinion we should watch something in English if you want to watch something WITH ME so that I’ll be engaged in the movie. He starts calling me racist, and saying I don’t love him etc. I told him that’s not the case and that I just wasn’t interested in watching a movie in another language. Btw, I’m absolutely not racist lol. So anyway, he gets in my face and starts screaming about nonsense, he put his hands around my throat and I straight up punched him in the face about three times. He called the cops on me saying I was abusive but I acted in self defense. The police are investigating still, some of my family say I’m in the wronf for hitting him and other family members think I was defending myself because he put his hands on me first.
