Ph of Amniotic Fluid

Long story short I had a leak in my sac with my first born. I repeatedly tested negative at the hospital but later found out (after an emergency csection) there was a small tear in the sac and the baby’s head was plugging it.

Well, because I spent SEVEN WEEKS trying to convince L&D that I had a leak, I’m hesitant to go in if I feel any “trickles”. Well, I’m now 34 weeks with my 5th baby and I felt a gush, and nothing since, except small trickles. Because of my hesitation I decided to get ph strips to see if maybe the fluid on my panty liner would give me some insight.

My urine is ~5, my discharge itself is less than 5, and the fluid on my pad is 6-8 roughly(it’s hard to tell because it’s kind of just spots of it).

Does anyone know what all can cause a ph of 6-8 in watery discharge? I’m waiting to see if I get a “gush” because I’m not always getting the 6-8 values, only occasionally after I feel a “trickle”.

(Yes I’ve put a call into my doc, I will follow his direction, just curious while I wait for a call back).
