Update

Well it's now past 03:00 and the dog is STILL barking so I guess they've gone away for the night.

2nd Update

I saw the neighbours car in the drive way at 08:00, I guess they made it home really early. What a miserable night!

It's people who leave their dogs to bark. If your dog is a barker, WHY leave it alone overnight? If your dog is a barker and you're at home, WHY are you not telling it to shut up if it's not barking at anything?! How on earth do people sleep with their dogs barking all night??!!!

I love dogs, I have plenty of them but I don't leave them to bark for no reason, especially at 23:00 at night! That's being an irresponsible pet owner in my eyes. Go see what your dog is barking at or better yet, DON'T leave it outside like its sole duty on earth is to not be part of your family.

I have misophonia and this bark is really triggering me. I can hear it over my white noise machine 😵😵😵😵

Chikky it's a habitual thing around the whole neighbourhood. It's always the same dogs barking at night. I can see their car isn't here which means they've either gone away for the evening (but they should have been back because of curfew) or they've gone away for the night (in which case I am going to die). They're not in trouble, they just don't care. It happens all the time and tonight I am just tired of it.
