Spotting AND EWCM on birth control????

Not sure where to put this?? So I’ve been on birth control for a little over a month and I’ve noticed I have EWCM and spotting... I went through 
IVF
 to have my son BC I didn’t  ovulate, but after having him I got pregnant 4 months post partum (he’s 8 months now). I lost the baby and after I got on BC. I had one period then I have had spotting and now the EWCM. I’m just confused... sometimes I forget to take my pill... so does that make me more at risk for ovulating?
ETA: I am on the mini pill

Oh wow. Maybe switch birth control methods if you’re trying to prevent pregnancy. Not good to miss mini pills

A few things here... 
1. Progestin only methods like mini pills are most known for causing irregular bleeding/spotting patterns in general. 
2. Spontaneous ovulation is still possible with most mini pills, but the pills also work in two other ways to help prevent pregnancy (when taken properly). 
3. Yes, missing pills puts u more at risk for ovulation & increases chances of pregnancy. Mini pills are typically much more time sensitive & absolutely NEED to be taken within 30 minutes-1 hour of the same time everyday!! And, missing pills also increases the risk of more irregular bleeding/spotting & other side effects. 
So, if ur truly wanting to prevent pregnancy, then u seriously need start being more consistent with taking the pills, or get on a different method of birth control asap!
