Babys Father present during labor ?

What do you guys think? Not sure if I do or don’t want him there. I don’t know if he’ll be supportive some even get grossed out :/ what did you guys do ?

In my mind it is a reason for divorce (in a matter of speech) not to let the person who together we decided and created a life,not to be present at his birth...I mean,he is the father,just because he didn’t carry the baby doesn’t mean he wasn’t there for all the morning sickness,bedrest,mood swing ,gd crying for everything and being yelled at for no reason...my husband is the only person I would want there and if he was useless then I would simply tell him to stand on the side...unless you are talking for a pregnancy that happened due to rape,or he is abusing or sth like that of course

My husband doesn’t do well at the sight of blood, and he hates seeing me in pain, but I still had him there and he was super supportive. I wouldn’t take that away from him, even though I was legit concerned he might pass out with my first. He was astounded watching everything my body went through. We are in all of this together.

My husband will be there. I don’t care if he’s supportive or not. That’s what I have a midwife for. I’m sure he will be great though but if he’s not I’m not going to hold it against him

Absolutely!! My husband was there with me throughout my entire 31 hour labour. He wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

If I had to go through labor I was only going to let my hubby stay above the waist😂
I ended up having a c section so he didn’t see me poop but he did get to see my guts😂😂😂

Are you guys married/in a good relationship? Can you talk to him about it? Does he want to be there? Let him know what you need and what you expect. If he doesn’t feel like he can fulfill those responsibilities then there’s nothing wrong with having someone else, like your mother or a sister or a friend, there instead. But it would definitely be a decision to make together if you guys are in a healthy relationship.  
If not it’s ultimately up to you. I mean, either way it’s ultimately up to you but I couldn’t imagine not having my husband in the room for the births of our children. However if he wasn’t supportive or if he didn’t want to be there, I wouldn’t think twice about having someone else there. Even when it goes well giving birth is a big deal, you need a good support person.

My husband who is not good at all with blood or anything hospital related was there for the csection of our daughter. And he’ll be there for this one (if the Covid numbers cooperate here).

My husband has been present in all of our baby’s birth , he says it’s the most beautiful thing he has ever experience so I’m glad I did take that away from him .

Personal I wouldn't take the chances of the baby's father the moment they were born unless he was abusive I couldn't do that because later he might leave you because this is a huge thing for fathers and mother's while your giving birth it's also his kid being born the the world
