plan b problems?

so i took the generic plan b for the first time recently, and i have been feeling kinda weird since. i am supposed to start my period in like 4 days but i’ve been getting cramps and feeling like it’s gonna start sooner. is that normal? how do i know if it worked? i know the package said that it could mess with your cycle, but i’m not sure exactly what that means 😅 am i supposed to get my period at the same time or will it come sooner? i did read all the info i just don’t know how to interpret it

Plan B works by stopping your cycle to prevent ovultion, because you know, no egg, no baby.
It is normal to get withdrawal bleeding around 7 days after taking it. Withdrawal bleeding is an artificial period caused by the pill hormones leaving your body. Withdrawal bleeding can be heavier than your normal menstruation, the same, or very light. Some women also do not get withdrawal bleeding.
After the hormones are gone, your body must restart its natural cycle. There is no way to predict how or when this will happen, but it most often means that your next menstruation will be late. It can also take your body a month or two or three to establish a regular cycle.
There is only way to know if the Plan B worked - You do not give birth 9 months later. Luckilly you do not have to wait 9 months, you can take a pregnancy test if you think you are pregnant. Around 21 days after the sex is a good time for it, and repeat it a week later to confirm the result.
Plan B (and all the generics) works pretty well. The chanches are vry very small

You may not get a period or it could come sooner. Once you bleed you know it worked, your periods are going to be irregular/ inconsistent for up to 3 months.
