Prodromal Labour

I am 32 weeks pregnant & have been experiencing prodromal labour on & off since Monday night. It kinda eased off yesterday but it's hitting again this arvo with some very decent lower back pressure. Has anyone else experienced it at this stage of pregnancy & gone into early pre-term labour? My mid wife said to call the next time it happens but it doesn't seem strong enough yet to worry majorly..
