Labor before scheduled C-Section?

I’m curious for those who had scheduled c-Sections, do you have any crazy labor stories about you not making it to your c-Section?

Answer

Not me, but my mom! When I was 10 she had my sister. Her C-section was scheduled for 8/18 at 1pm. The night before we were putting books on the shelf in my sister’s room. I heard what sounded like a water balloon breaking and splashing on the floor as my mom’s water broke around 10pm. My dad rushed us to the hospital and by the time they got my mom the epidural she was already about 8cm. I went home with my grandparents to sleep, but my sister was born at 1:43am on 8/18, her scheduled date... just 12 hours early 🤪
And now she’s an insanely smart and sarcastic high school senior 🤷🏻‍♀️
