Too extreme?

I used a sponge for the first time with my foundation and I feel it made it so much heavier. Also put a tiny bit of contour & highlighter on before foundation. Finished with a matte setting spray. Too much?? I feel dark. Sorry for so many pics, just want opinions

It’s just really shiny instead of dewey. Try using more mattifying products on your face, like putting setting powder on your shiny points before foundation

You can still use too much product with sponges, but your makeup in the last photo looks super smooth and nice. Just use less product

I have found that foundation brushes are a million times better. Sponges eat half of your makeup. It looks fine though either way but I think sponges are overrated

You have to use a lot less foundation when using a sponge. I also like to set with a little bit of setting powder to help it stay longer & to get rid of too much shine.
