Have any of you had any bad blister like reactions to makeup before? Since my daughter has been born (12+ months ago) I literally have worn foundation once. On Friday thought I’d spruce myself up and put on a “face”. Didn’t even occur to me at the time that the makeup maybe expired or my brushes may need cleaned bc I hadn’t used them in forever.

Come Friday evening right after some bowchickabowwow 😉 my eye brow felt like someone had punched me out of nowhere! I went to bed early it burned so bad. Saturday morning I wake up and puss is dripping down my eye and I have a huge blister. Went to the walk in clinic that morning and they had nooo idea what it was. the doctor (who I’m usually against seeing) said she literally had no idea and in her exact words said , “that’s just soooo weird! It doesn’t look like herpes or impetigo, or shingles. Looks like you burned yourself with a curling iron.” She diagnosed me with shingles .... but I’m not thinking so!? Could makeup give someone this kind of reaction? Ive been taking the shingles meds for 2 days now and using antibiotic cream. It’s clearing up in my opinion really well... only have a tiny blister looking area on the top but everywhere else looks like it’s drying up and just red skin. No scabs. no itching. The burning has gotten better but still wondering what I did. The makeup is the only thing that I can come up with. What’s your opinions?!
