Advice needed: CNA😣
I got hired as a CNA for a home care job. I've been working a few days and I can already tell I'm not going to like it. I'm use to fast paced jobs (worked in a nursing home prior with multiple residents). The issue is I have to drive 45min each way, 5 times a week, and basically be a companionship for 5 hours(person is more independent than tasks assigned). I want to further my skills and physically help the person(bathe, dress, hair care etc) not to be a maid by just helping with house chores(cooking, vacuuming, cleaning). I just feel like I'm wasting gas and miles to sit for 5 hours a day. Not to mention the house is disgusting, something I forgot to take into consideration. Would it be wrong to go to my employer after 5 days and asked to be reassigned to someone else? I took this client on because I wanted the hours, but I am regretting it. This is the first time I've come across a job I didn't like immediately, and would feel extremely guilty/wrong to quit this client so soon, but Its only been a few days and I already dread going to work.
