Preschool problem

My almost 4yo daughter started a Montessori school this past September. We were very excited, because the Montessori method seemed to be a good fit for my girl. She is reading at a 1st grade level and doing math and writing at a Kindergarten level.

The Montessori class mixes kids from ages 3 to 5yo, so I thought it was a perfect setting for her to keep progressing with her learning. It costs a lot of money for us, so we reduced other expenses to be able to afford it.

A few months after the school started we had our first parent-teacher conference. The teacher told us (after almost 4 months) that my child behavior in the classroom was not good. She pushed kids, didn't wait for turns, yelled, etc. I was expecting some behavioral issues, since she was at home only with us for 7 months (since covid started). However, I was shocked to hear one after another negative thing. Why I wasn't informed about this from day 1?. The teacher said they like to address issues in school and not bring them home. Well, if these issues became repetive I needed to know. At home we don't have any other than the "normal" tantrums for a 3yo. If my girl is out of lines we always correct her, and she knows there are consequences. She always listen to us and understand what are we talking about.

For months she got away with whatever was happening in school and we had no clue.

We told the teacher to tell us if there are any future incidents, so we can discuss with her at home.

We have seen no improvement with the teacher communication. Yesterday we had a meeting with the director. She told us that it will be good if we get my kid evaluated, because her behavior seems immature for her age. Let me tell you, I'm not against evaluations. In fact, my daughter was in Early Intervention for 1 year bc she had trouble with gross motor skills.

I wonder myself if this goes more because the teacher can't handle the kids? Or specifically my kid?.

I worked in a preschool for 5 years with kids between 18 months and 4yo. I sent updates to the parents every single day. We get 1 email a month with pictures of what she does in school.

She is entering to prek in September. I don't know what to do.

Any input?
