Are you introducing cow or plant based milk yet?

Has anyone began introducing milk to their 11 month olds??? If so how much and how often.

I introduced cows milk to my first at 1yo because that's what I thought I was supposed to do but I'll probably wait a little longer with this one because he still breastfeeds quite a bit. I just read the only reason to introduce an alternative is if there is a gap in their nutrient intake like if they aren't breastfeeding enough or formula is no longer being offered.

I am still breastfeeding and expressing milk for when she is in childcare but we introduced cow's milk in her breakfast and no issues.

I will not be giving cows milk instead when he goes to my parents I’ll do hemp and when he’s with me we’ll still nurse on demand

Yup at 9 months we started weaning day time feeds and used cows milk. I now nurse him morning, 4pm and night time 3 times a day sometimes 4 if he wakes in the night he is almost 11 months! He also got teeth early has 6 teeth and eats 3 meals and a few snacks a day. He is surprisingly tall and thin but so is his daddy. Healthy little guy

I was planning on starting in a couple weeks. Adding a little to the breast milk during lunch and increasing it by a little each week. I’m done with trying to pump during work (I’m a teacher)- it’s almost impossible. So I need to start weaning.

My baby gets sips of her brother's strawberry milk sometimes but she's breastfed so I won't be giving her milk until she's old enough to get it as a treat.

We just started introducing cows milk last weekend, only giving her an ounce in a bottle with 5 ounces of formula. I want to add that she’s been on a dairy based formula since birth and eats cheese abs yogurt all the time.
