Found photos of my son and don't know if they're considered CP

(Before you guys assume I was snooping, no I was not!!)

My son is 17. He loves drawing and painting. He has a box full of art supplies. We got it for him last year. Earlier yesterday I was making a few drawings myself (He gets his artistic appreciation from me.) There were certain color shades I wanted to use but did not have. I only had 4-5 pencils. I knew my son had a variety so I decided to borrow from him. He will be at work until 12 AM so I just went in his room. I looked around until I found his art set. When I found it, I opened it. Organized pencils, pastels... And condoms. He also had a few Polaroid photos. I picked them up. One was him laying in his girlfriend’s bed. The blanket was covering some of his lower half but some of his v-line was still exposed so you could tell that he was naked. He and his girlfriend have been dating since their 8th grade year. She’s 18. When I saw these things I practically screeched and closed it immediately. I am not able to confront my son right now since he was at work. Right now still in a lot of shock. When I see his face, I see my sweet and innocent angel. Now when I see him I’ll be thinking of what I found. (Condoms, the photo) He’s just a kid. It hurts. I don’t know if I’ll start being restrictive or not now. But I do know that CP is a felony in the USA and I don't know if that Polaroid is considered CP? His penis wasn't exposed but he was still clearly naked. And because his girlfriend is 18 she could charged for taking these, couldn't she? Very worried for her too
